Man Dives Into Flash Flood To Save Stranded Animals
Over 23 inches of rain caused historic flash flooding in several states, including Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi. The flooding has completely devastated many families and wildlife as well.
Two men in Hernando, Mississippi saw animals in need and decided to take action. Raccoon’s were able to find safety by climbing into trees, but many opossums and armadillos were stranded on little bits of higher ground, clinging to whatever they could find to try and prevent themselves from being washed away by the rising waters.
Frankie Williams and his brother traveled around in their little boat, rescuing every struggling animal they could find. They even dove in the water trying to save frightened animals! They released the animals once the water levels began to go down.
