Army Veteran Surprised With $500 Shopping Spree To Spend On His German Shepherd

When Army Veteran Abner Gonzalez was deployed, he enlisted the help of the non profit Dogs On Deployment. The organization takes care of pets, while their owners are away on deployment and was able to care for his German Shepherd, Sophie.

Abner showed up at a pet store for a talk about the non- profit and the great work they do. What Abner didn’t realize was that he was there for something entirely different. Pet Supplies Plus awarded him with a $500 Gift Certificate to spend on Sophie! Sophie and Abner took their time shopping and nothing was off limits! We’re so happy to see these two reunited.
